We're a private family home in a grand 19th-century Victorian mansion in leafy Mossley Hill — with our family (and our friendly dog!) here to make you feel at home. This isn't a hotel: it's our home, with individually styled rooms and a self-contained apartment.

Where is Mossley Hill Retreat?
In Mossley Hill, a quiet, leafy suburb of south Liverpool, close to Sefton Park and Penny Lane. We share the exact address with your arrival details before your stay.
How do I get to Liverpool city centre?
Mossley Hill station is about a 5-minute walk away, and trains to Liverpool Lime Street take about 7 minutes. By car or taxi it's roughly 15–20 minutes.
How do I get here from the airport?
Liverpool John Lennon Airport is about a 15–20 minute Uber, depending on traffic. You can also get here by public transport.
Is there parking?
Yes. Free, private, gated parking with CCTV for the length of your stay. The apartment has its own space just outside its entrance.
Is it near Penny Lane and the Beatles sites?
Yes. Penny Lane is close by, and the other Beatles landmarks of south Liverpool are a short drive or taxi ride away.
Can we check in early or check out late?
Please don't request them in advance — we can't promise them at booking time. When early check-in (or parking from earlier in the day) is possible for your dates, we'll message you the day before you arrive with the options and prices; late checkout works the same way, the night before you leave.
Can I bring my dog?
One dog is welcome in the self-contained apartment, for a small fee (no cats). The rooms in the house are pet-free, as our own dog lives here.
How does check-in work?
Self check-in from 3pm with your own door code, which comes with your arrival details. Check-out is by 10am. There's no reception, but we reply to messages quickly.
